DEEP SATISFACTION IN CHRIST
REACH exists to call young adults reach up to God and find their soul satisfied in Jesus Christ alone. Nothing in this world satisfies like the love demonstrated to sinful human beings by Jesus Christ. Augustine said, “You have made us for yourself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” We reach up to the God who has pursued us in grace and find our hungry souls satisfied by Him alone in public gathering times as well as individual personal worship.
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. (Matthew 22:37 ESV)
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. (Philippians 1:21-23 ESV)
INTENTIONAL LOVE FOR THE CHURCH
REACH calls a generation to love the followers of Jesus Christ. In a day of persecution from outside, as well as jealousy and fighting from within—we exist to love the people Jesus describes as His Bride. We do this intentionally through serving one another and living intentional lives of fellowship through the local church.
Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith (Philippians 1:25 ESV).
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:10 ESV)
RISK-TAKING PASSION FOR THE LOST
REACH pursues those outside the circle. In one of his final commands Jesus promised both his authority and presence as His followers “make disciples” of all nations. Therefore we pursue people far from God no matter their background, ethnicity or sordid past. Because we have been saved by His grace, we want as many people as possible to know the love and mercy of Jesus Christ and we prove it by our actions.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 ESV)
